Receivership Proceedings
On November 20, 2009, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta (the “Court”) issued an Order appointing KPMG Inc. as Receiver and Manager (the “Receiver”) of Brute Force Oil Field Hauling Inc. CCAA Proceedings
On October 15, 2009, the Company made an application for protection under the Companies Creditors’ Arrangement Act (the “CCAA”) and an Initial Order was granted by the Court. Hardie & Kelly Inc. was appointed as monitor of the Company (the “Monitor”). The Initial Order provided certain relief including the imposition of an initial Stay of Proceedings (the “Stay”) against the Company and its assets through to November 13, 2009. On November 13, 2009, the Court granted an extension of the Stay through to November 20, 2009. On November 20, 2009, the Company was placed into receivership.
